I'm Engaged

Yes, I am now engaged to my girlfriend of six months. Six months and it feels like it was longer than that, but I'm not complaining. It was the right next step to take. And I didn't even go down on one knee or ask 'will you marry me?' That is so cliche and so not me. That's not how I do things. I just pretty much just gave her the open box. She was so shocked and surprised. But then again, I already had her answer, I just needed to do it officially. So now, the engagement party is in two weeks and our wedding will take place next year in late winter or early spring

Angel & Cordelia: Soulmates?

So here's the big question: Angel and Cordelia: Soulmates or not? Now, this could come off as completely bias since I'm a huge Cangel fan. Number 1 favourite couple on the list. Anyhow, I'm gonna talk about why I think they're soulmates

They're really good friends. Have been ever since Angel season 1, though we won't include season 4 and I'm not really too sure about season 2. But Angel has cared about Cordelia since season 1, even though he didn't really show it until towards the end of season 1, when she was attacked by the Vocah demon and he says that he needs her by his side. Then, we have season 2, where after reuniting with the gang following his dark time, Angel tries his best to apologise to Cordelia. I mean, he kinda ignores Wesley and Gunn just for Cordy's forgiveness. Then we have season 3, my second favourite season cuz of all the Cangel goodness. And baby Connor! Oh my, they looked like a real family! So cute, especially the end of Provider. Unfortunately, Groo comes along, wooes Cordy and takes her away, then Connor is kidnapped into a hell dimension and returns a week later as a 16-year-old (future) prat. The end of season 3 is kinda frustrating, cuz Angel and Cordy were gonna hook up, but were separeted. Damn you writers! And I'll curse you frigging bastards for fucking Cordelia and Connor around in season 4. Honestly, if you had a surrogate mother, would you sleep with her?? The fucken nerve of Joss. No wonder I'm not a big fan of him. Alright, let's move past season 4 and get to the 100th episode, 'You're Welcome'. Love this episode. Redeeming Cordy's character and sending her off in a nice hurrah. Plus, the ep is full of more Cangel goodness. But it's quite sad to see Cordy go. But it's great to see her return in After the Fall and help Angel while he's dying. And he says he loves her! Yes!!
Look, I'm not all that great at analysing, defining and insightfulness. I'm not all that intelligent and I can't make those great and brilliant arguments that I keep reading and make me go 'yeah, that's right'. But I really do believe Angel and Cordelia are soulmates. I can't convince people or make them understand, but watch Angel. The entire series, except maybe season 4 and only watch You're Welcome in season 5. I always love a relationship that is full of humour, caring, love, loyalty and devotion. And that's what's in Angel and Cordelia's relationship. They are really good friends who love each other, care about each other, are devoted to each other, know each other like the back of their hands and they laugh with each other. And fight, which are quite funny to watch. They would have been a really great couple if the writers hadn't snorted crack during season 4. And I truly think they are soulmates. They have all this potential to be soulmates. I don't understand how people can say that Buffy and Angel are soulmates. So Angel is Buffy's first love? Big whoop. I'm with my second love and she's my soulmate. But that's got nothing to do with this. But all Angel and Buffy had were just tears-ridden angst and eye-rolling passion. I found it boring. But with Cangel, now that's interesting. And it's really beautiful and interesting to see Angel and Cordelia interact, all the way from Buffy season 1 to Angel After the Fall. Angel and Cordelia are soulmates, in my opinion, and whoever says otherwise can say hello to my little friend
